Summary

Amends the

Export Market Development Grants Act 1997
to: extend the Export Market Development Grants (EMDG) scheme to the 2010-2011 grant year and provide for a review of the scheme by 30 June 2010; increase the claimable overseas visit allowance from $200 to $300 per day; amend the rules of the scheme relating to applicant eligibility, origin of eligible products, applicant expenses, changes in business ownership, special approval status and export earnings; and streamline the administration of the scheme. Also repeals the
Export Expansion Grants Act 1978
; and makes consequential amendments to the
Australian Trade Commission Act 1985
.
